The Chapelle-les-Sciers district comprises eighteen buildings on eight hectares of land, previously fields or allotments. he urban project consists in erecting rectangular buildings of seven or eight storeys, freely positioned, once on the large side and once on the small side. In the centre, the large communal underground car park is located outside the buildings’ foundations. The entire housing scheme is controlled financially by the State, since located in a development zone. To the southeast of the district, along by a wooded area, the only two buildings to be sold by floor are noticeable by their very wide perimeter terraces. The latter’s facades are fitted with mobile aluminium shutters and fixed parts in coloured glass. On the top floor, a veritable loft has been planned, unlike in the neighbouring buildings. Access on foot is by a ramp that takes you up slightly in relation to the natural land level and offers the possibility of installing dwellings on the ground floor with the privacy necessary for their use. The apartments are reached from a lift entirely in glass and a staircase on to which natural light flows from a skylight right above it. The four apartments by floor have large areas and are articulated diagonally by entrance halls. They have living areas with large windows on the corners.
